Privacy Policy

Emperor Rentals (“we,” “us”) operates emperorrentals.com, a direct-booking site for vacation homes we manage across Tampa Bay, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what a booking or a newsletter signup requires, we never sell your information, and we run no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

Information we collect

Booking details. When you reserve a stay we ask for your first name, last name, and email address, along with your stay dates and party size. These are passed to our property-management system, OwnerRez, to create your reservation.

Payment information. Payment is completed on OwnerRez’s secure hosted checkout. Your card number is entered there and never touches our servers. OwnerRez’s own privacy policy governs its processing.

Newsletter email. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide so we can send occasional updates and offers.

Technical data. Like most websites, our servers process IP addresses and standard request logs to operate the service, prevent abuse, and rate-limit automated traffic.

Saved favorites stay on your device

The heart button saves homes to a list stored only in your browser’s local storage. When you open your favorites page, the saved property ids — and nothing else — are sent to our server to refresh those listings’ details; we do not store the list.

How we use your information

We use booking details solely to create and manage your reservation and to communicate with you about your stay. We use newsletter emails solely to send the newsletter. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and tracking

We run no third-party analytics or ad trackers anywhere on the site, and we set no advertising cookies. Authentication cookies are used only for our staff administration area.

First-party analytics.To understand how the site is used — which homes are viewed, which stay dates are searched, and where our visitors come from — we operate our own analytics, stored on our own servers and shared with no one. It uses a single first-party cookie containing a random identifier that is not linked to your name or email. We record pages viewed, searches made, approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address, which we do not store), and device type. This data is deleted after 24 months. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it and collect nothing.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of providers to run the site: OwnerRez (reservations and payments), Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database hosting, United States), and Mapbox (map tiles — loading a map sends standard web-request data to Mapbox). Each receives only what its function requires.

Data retention and your choices

Reservation records are retained as required for business and legal purposes. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter, or ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, by contacting us at the email or phone number below.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
